I have been a fan of Survivor for years...years, a dream to compete on the show. Always enjoying the social experiment with my family. The one show we always watch. After the ignorant, racist, inaccurate and judgmental comments made by Jamal this evening this will probably come to an end. I am sick and tired of everyone that thinks they have some public podium that they can tell me what I think, feel and believe just because I am a white, heterosexual male. What a racist and ignorant comment Jamal made. Can you imagine the outrage if the reverse statement was made. I do not judge anyone for anything more than who they are and the quality of person that they are and I am sick and tired of people saying otherwise. I am tired of people taking simple, innocent comments and blowing them out of proportion. I have friends of every race, religion and sexuality and none of those items have any bearing on who they are, how I treat them or how I view them and why they are or are not a friend. If you want to be you and you want be equal, just be you and stop cramming it down other people's throats and tell me what I think and feel. Jamal is the ignorant and narrow minded racist and his comments are ill placed and continue to perpetuate racism and create problems were problems no longer need to be made. Yes Jamal, durags are called durags and yes, mostly black people wear them initially due to hair treatment until black people chose to wear them as fashion. Durag, buff, same thing, different name and people of all color, gender and race use them for multiple uses, fashion or function. Offended by Jamal's generalization of white heterosexual male behavior and that we have a long way to go. Sounds like Jamal and his narrow minded racist self does and I am appalled by CBS for airing and perpetuating this view.
