Christine Rae

I bought a second-hand copy of this book recently, and wonder why anyone would want to part with it! It has wonderful descriptions of life growing up in Oklahoma. I thoroughly enjoyed the free poetry style, in which she describes so much in so few words. At times it is very sad, then dramatic, and occasionally it had me bursting out laughing. It's an all round cleverly written book. By the way, I am an Australian, in my 70's. Maybe being a bit older makes me appreciate it more. This book is definitely one I will share with our Book Club.
