"We're all told at one point to stop playing the children's game. Some at 18, some at 40. But we're all told".
I love movies with memorable, thought provoking quotes. It adds to the lasting effect that visual-storytelling can have on us. It speaks to the soul, beyond the imaginary or even the historical world we have just witnessed.
Brad Pitt and Jonah hill make a great duo in this movie about redemption and sacrifice. "Many are called, but few are chosen" - just another one of the great examples of scriptwriting told to us by these characters.
Moneyball is a sports movie, for even non-sports fans. It takes us into the mind of a franchise's general manager, and the interactions he has to deal with the leagues owners, the fans, his team, and even his family. I would definitely recommend this film, not just for the great writing or storytelling, but also for the great use of cinematography, character acting, and sound editing.
What are the major flaws? Well, from the first watch, I did not notice anything specifically, so at this time I cannot comment on that.
