I would say, OK - ish. All the zeitgeisters saying he's autistic - nowhere did it ever say that. He's a shy inexperienced gay man and we've all been there. His father obviously adores him yet we see this character spit on his grave. I don't get all the comments saying that the drag queen deserves an Oscar - I actually think whoever played Tore was outstanding set against a plotline that was so hedonistic even Amy Winehouse would have raised an eyebrow. There was limited character development, odd relationship with his work colleagues (who had zero character), don't think he really loved the dog, his drag epiphany didn't go together. You don't just wear drag and get over grief. The shady druggy guy declaring love for him didn't fit with him being a sinister rapist. The LSD granny was by far the best character.
