Just an awful movie. Not only an inaccurate telling of a well known historical event, but terrible cinematography. How many out of focus shots of the trees can one bear? Perhaps the director was trying to convey a sense of never ending wilderness, but if so it was overdone. The chance to explore Foster's growing penchant for murder was missed completely. Bad movie making at it's best.
