It's been awhile since I've seen such a badly directed movie. The editing is questionable too. It seems to have been written as it was being shot. With such an amazing cast it could have been a good movie, yet someone tried to horseshoe every element of other successful movies in.

Just an awful movie. Not only an inaccurate telling of a well known historical event, but terrible cinematography. How many out of focus shots of the trees can one bear? Perhaps the director was trying to convey a sense of never ending wilderness, but if so it was overdone. The chance to explore Foster's growing penchant for murder was missed completely. Bad movie making at it's best.
