part 1love it but part 2 hate it

I still can't believe they did Joel like that. After everything we went through with him in the first game the pain, the bond with Ellie, the sacrifices and they just brutally kill him with a golf club? No buildup, no dignity, no real closure. It felt like a punch in the gut, and not in a good storytelling way just cruel and unnecessary. And then they expect us to play as Abby? To understand her? Sorry, but no. You don’t get to make us love a character for years and then force us to sympathize with the one who murdered him like that. That scene didn’t feel bold. It felt wrong. That was the moment the soul of the game died for me.
