I can’t believe I watched this ridiculous movie twice. A few laughs “That’s a big plane.” “It’s Russian” and the finger to the Russian as the door closes leaving him to fall to an oligarch’s death. Most are unintentional I expect as they drive everywhere a centimetre from collapsing buildings and giant cracks in the road. Almost entirely done with special effects, so if you like those, you will love this movie. It veers from imploding everything to long eye holding goodbyes seconds from destruction. I did enjoy Woody Harrelson though!

This was a delightful movie about the truth of women’s lives and women raising boys alone. Funny, thoughtful, never mawkish or sentimental. Love the “tell it like it is”feminist speaking and exploration of the 60s and early 70s. Depression era meets punk 70s in a spirit of enquire. Awesome! Favourite bits: “you are smoking yourself to death.” (She did). She replies that it is different for her. “Then it was sophisticated and edgy” or somesuch. Enjoy.

A disturbing fly-on-the-wall documentary about fundamentalists training their children to fight the liberals “in Jesus’s name.” Where have I heard that before? A man shows hyped up 6 year olds tiny plastic dolls and tapes their mouths to demonstrate the evils of abortion. We follow a few fanatical children on their path. The camp is seriously political. This film is prescient. Dreams have come true. Scariest movie I ever saw.
