Having read the book before watching the series I was really let down by how far the show strayed from the original story line. The book was so enchanting while the Netflix series was a mash up of bad acting, overly dramatized scenes and cliches. Wish they had chosen a different director who could have brought the beauty of the book to the screen. Very disappointing.
