For the love of god please don’t listen to the scared little boys who will hate this movie no matter what. I’m willing to bet most of them didn’t even see the movie. I went and seen the 7 pm showing at my theater opening night tonight and absolutely loved this movie. I’ll start with I’m a 30 something male and I don’t go see Marvel movies because they are real life. I go for the totally opposite reason, to escape reality suspend believe for a little and enjoy the comics I love come to life. This movie checked all of those boxes for me. Maybe I’m dumb or maybe I just don’t pay attention to all this SJW, WOKE, conservative bs that floods the internet but I picked up on ZERO agenda in this movie other than telling the origins of Captain Marvel. I felt the pacing was pretty good in this movie, visuals as with most Marvel movies are off the chart. I felt Brie did a great job playing her role. Everyone who was throwing out their “reviews” before the movie was even released trying to say she has no acting ability or this movie is just expressionless clearly we’re just trying to spread their propaganda. There was plenty of humor, emotions, happy, sad etc. Jackson once again nails Fury and really brings another side to his character that I thought was great to see. This movie is set in the mid 90’s so Nick Fury isn’t quite the guy we have come to know yet. Bottom line...if you are a fan of marvel/comic book movies. If you are a fan of the MCU and it’s ever expanding universe this movie is a must. I had a great time watching it and I’m considering seeing it again tomorrow. Marvel/Disney is NOT going to tank the biggest franchise going right now by throwing politics into their movies. Any smart buisness understands that nothing can take you down quicker than picking one side and clearly Disney is not gonna let their billion dollar franchises fall. All these people who are hating on this movie were the same people who hated black panther before it ever came out. It’s like these people don’t realize that YES there are comic book characters that aren’t white males. These characters weren’t just invented in the past 10 years either they been around for a long time but hey why try and be sensible when you can just spew hatred cause your life is a miserable waste. If you like Marvel then go see this movie...end of discussion.
