UTTER GARBAGE: The plot takes way too long to get going. It should not be 35 minutes before the main plot device / horror element makes its first appearance! The middle of the movie is okay while it builds up tension, but the ending falls completely off the deep end and doesn’t answer the 2 main questions that the plot demands. Seriously what was that ending??? All of these things combined with enough plot holes to be Swiss cheese + so many plot conveniences that by the end you cannot help and think to yourself…. “what was that?”. For example… there’s a scene where a character is running away from the bad guy and they trip / fall making it easy for the bad guy to get them. That is one of the oldest cliché plot devices in horror cinema history! There is a scene where one character openly admits they took hardcore drugs and they are stumbling around like an escaped mental patient. Then the next moment they are driving a car and using their phone to text as if they are not on drugs. SUMMARY: The premise of the movie is good but it takes way too long to get to the plot. The characters start off being normal but then their behavior goes wildly off the rails to the point that you are left thinking “what the heck was that?” I wish the script-writers actually made the characters (both the good and the bad ones) act like people would in real life. I do not blame the actors because the all act very well. It is a shame the script and the ending are so bad.
