I was initially intrigued by the show, but it became increasingly opaque and, ultimately, descended into meaninglessness . It couldn’t decide what it wanted to be. Horror? Supernatural? Detective? Morality tale? In the end it became a stew of genres, with a little bit of everything thrown in the mess. It is confusing teetering on the edge of incomprehension. The show became so dark as to become . And the ending…WTF.??? The acting was more than adequate, if a bit overwrought. My biggest issue with the show is not its lack of clarity and cohesion, but its abandonment of logic, reality and respect for its viewers. Also its earnest yet depressingly deadly seriousness was totally unnecessary and pointless. Skip it. It’s not worth six hours if your waking life. Too bad…it had potential. And what was the point or purpose of the eviscerated stag?
