This movie was hilarious. Nonstop laughter….if you are a baby boomer, or around that age. So many references to pop culture, people, cereals, toys, etc. The infighting and culture clashes were great. The way companies fought to get the best new thing out. The characters we all grew up loving. References of reading the boxes or wanting a prize in the cereal. Believing there was pet sea monkeys or X-ray vision, etc. We as kids were crazy for all of these things. We were experimented on a lot too, such as the first generation that had sugar in huge quantities in their food that was off the charts. The toys that could pop off near you or even burn you and then the company’s would nix that item. Remember Clackers…lol. I believe this is why there are mixed reviews. It’s really a generation gap thing. It could have been rated…Baby Boomer. I am one and as far as I’m concerned it’s one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time. A glimpse back to when we had really funny movies such as Blazing Saddles. I believe it will be nominated for awards.
