History that is crisp, clear, and straight to the point. Even thought it's written by a racist bigot, her chronology is good. This book depicts a good history of the Europeans trying to move into the Mediterranean. Particularly how they solved their problems at the expense of other people. How the slave trade liberated Europe from the depressed economy they had created with the so-called 'Crusades' and through the famines and plagues. Europe always solves its problems by exploiting & preying on people outside of itself.
