It's something to watch that can sometimes captivate in certain scenes. Not a bad Western. Just not great for all the potential. Storylines seem mishmashed. Needs a bit of comic relief. Kinda takes itself too seriously. But actually the biggest drawback is the editing. Even so at the end of part 1 you will be waiting for part two. I certainly am.

For effort I give 3 out of five. The story is uneven. The motives of everyone is rather unclear. The storyline itself has no real clear thread to weave everything together. It's like writers could not agree and just threw some stuff up in the air and picked the 5 or 7 that landed first. I know they tried. But it just does not feel like the Force is with the showrunners. Sol was a great presence and if there is a season 2 I hope he comes back. Mae and Osha have a storyline that could use some development as to what is their purpose. It comes off that they are like the pawns in a bigger, much bigger gambit. Awesome fight scenes, great space chases, thrilling one on one duels. But Disney has still not managed to make a Star Wars series that you want to watch again and again.
