C-Span in IMAX. Wow where do I even begin. The first 90 minutes of this film is great. The pacing and suspense is MASTERFUL, up until the detonation test. I’m thinking maybe another 15 minutes, put a bow on this thing and it’s a masterpiece. Wrong. You’re only halfway home. Nolan is so self righteous that he can’t make a movie under 3 hours. The final hour and a half of this film is a court deposition that goes exactly where you think it’s going and at the end there’s no payoff. You’re just writhing in your seat at how asinine Nolan is that he thinks anyone cares about all the period correct senate deposition scenes he shot. He just refuses to cut ANYTHING. He could have told the 3rd act in 15 minutes.. There is a grand total of 90 seconds of this film worth viewing in IMAX. I’m honestly so sick of Christopher Nolan. Cillian Murphy was great despite all that. PS I forgot to mention someone may have literally died of boredom and was taken away by ambulance
