All I could think of watching this film is " don't worry about catching this bit, I'll catch it on the next run " I very rarely watch films twice but this one I most certainly will . It is so intriguing so mystifying so beautifully acted and filmed that it cannot be grasped in one viewing. Great acting !!! Philip Seymour Hoffman Joaquin Phoenix Amy Adams WoW . Makes me very sad about PSF ....... Such a tremendous loss. What a performance he gave. Joaquin Pheonix was mesmerizing every single second the camera was on him... I felt as though I had PTSD. He is absolutely incredible . Watching this felt very Orson Welles . And I don't know exactly why maybe just the feeling I have watching it. Like an alternative reality. I love this film for reasons I'm not even sure of. Only that I know great work when I feel it. Paul Thomas Anderson. What an achievement ! Providing a window into someone's soul. Makes me realize how mediocre so many films are. So worth seeking out the great ones like this. Bravo. I loved it.
