This book is fascinating. It features Pollan's usual excellent research skills and ability to find the most interesting elements of any subject, applied to an intriguing subject matter and presented in a very hopeful way. His humanity shines through, and his own personal experiences with the items he writes about add a level of credibility that sets it apart from a lot of other writing. Worthwhile, to say the least.
