The movie itself is pretty entertaining, and finds a way to balance The Trio's antics and Rey and Kylo's relationship, which really make the film. It's really just a matter of paying attention, since it is fast paced.
The thing that gets me is the ending. The entire theme of Star Wars, hope, is really present in the original trilogy, which this movie heavily leans on. All of a sudden, you have this big conflict, lots of fighting, all chaotic. And when Palpatine is defeated, everyone is happy, Ben Solo (redeemed) just fell backward and died.
We have a Resistance celebration scene, ok. And then we cut to Rey, alone, on Tatooine, burying lightsabers and walking into the sunset, alone. We have this protagonist, one half of the pillar of the sequel trilogy, utterly alone, ending up just how she was on Jakku.
The point, instead of being hopeful, this sequel ended being tragic. I saw it once, and have no plans to see it again.
