Large Gratitude for Paul Hunter and his contemporary Western novel, MR. BRICK AND THE BOYS. What an unexpected delight! Indeed, this book had me not wanting it to end. The writing is personable, friendly and enjoyable even as the main character explains significant events and turning points in his life. There are chuckles and tears, and a bunch of good clean fun. One minute it is a how-to manual and the next minute you will find profound wisdom. This book does not waste your time. Through Mr. Brick's keen observations of animals (especially horses) and his calm acceptance of realities, he shows us how we might all live in ways that will endear us to belonging . It is a gentle quiet telling in a fresh clean way. I loved it!! 5 stars!!!!!
