Three hours of my life wasted . Everyone talks how amazing Christopher’s Nolan movies are . While true some of his work has been quite amazing , This film was not it . It was sheer boredom . It wasn’t connected at all , it bounced all over the map literally. I feel that it went in far in way too many directions for no reason at all.
It was as if Christopher was trying for Oliver stone’s JFK meets Pearl Harbor and Shindler’s list except those movies were on point and held the audiences captive, But not “Oppenheimer “ it took you everywhere except where it should of . Very nice cinematic photography but that’s really all .
Some of the scenes were directed amazingly for sure and the cast , while stellar, could not do anything with the soft script and it’s irrational flow through out the film . Emily Blunt did have a very well performed and highlightable scene but apart from that , that was pretty much it .
It was a real shame to see the ball totally dropped . It could of had it all . Instead it left me wanting much much more . Disappointing to say the least . A video rental for sure . Save your money ( and time 3 hrs..
