Iโm a huge LotR fan, and I never really paid much mind to this series ever since I heard about it years ago. But when it finally came out I was like yeah well I have to watch that. Iโm so impressed with it all. Leaves me asking questions. The humour between the dwarves and elves is captured great. The set designs are amazing, especially all the Elvish places, just so damn beautiful lol. Seeing locations from LotR in a new light is so frickin cool. Like places in their prime vs what they became thousands of years later. Some of the elves are more elf looking, definitely a different look from the 6 movies but Iโm not complaining. The music is good, considering the classic score from the original movies that is unbeatable.
I canโt believe people are saying itโs slow. No spoilers but thereโs already been a couple scenes where Iโm on my toes. And like come on itโs the first 2 bloody episodes lmao. Itโs setting up the ride weโre gonna be on for probably years to come.
Thereโs probably elitists who wanted to give it 1 star when they first heard Amazon was making a lord of the rings series, but you really have to take it for what it is. Itโs a dope series so far that you can tell is trying to stay close to the source material. Which is fun because itโs not like thereโs an entire book about it detailing everything. So they can be more creative and have fun with whatโs going on during the events that were written by Tolkien. From just watching the first 2 episodes things are looking good for this series.
Iโm really really really looking forward to the rest of the show and am so glad it turned out to be a production that the people working on it actually care about.
