Allies is one of the best WWII books I have read, though I bothers me that they killed one of the main characters. It was so frustrating when the book got my hopes up that Bill's Sherman Tank "Achilles" was saved by knocking out the german 88 anti tank gun, and then suddenly a second gun shoots the Achilles and destroys the tank, and the entire tank crew including the really nice main character Bill. Since overall this is a really book I rate 4 stars.
