I have just watched this movie for the first time and wondered why? The film has every element I adore in a movie which ultimately has a Christian message.

If it ain't broke don't redo it I tuned in this somewhat disappointing redo by accident as I was expecting to enjoy the original. From the outset I found it difficult to watch. There is no suspense, nothing gripped me other than making constant comparisons throughout the movie. If I hadn't watched the original, I would have switched off this remake, but it's like watching a car wreck. The other reviews have been more insightful and on point. But you have to make your own minds up as whether you will endure this remake in its entirety.
