Robert Burnier

A mediation on the relationship between reason and evil, in a way more disturbing than the original, especially in its resolution. Not the same stylistic statement as the 1977 film at all, none of the campiness, and in that not always the same conversation visually and artistically, but also not the simplistic heroine ingenue storyline, either. Both the original and remake are interesting in their own ways and for their own times.
