I love American horror story, I started watching it on Netflix and became hooked. My favourite all time season is the asylum however I think every new storyline takes on a life of its own and the portrayal is amazing. However, I was disappointed in season 8 I felt the storyline lacked a lot of substance, when I saw that it was an apocalypse I felt like this could have had great potential. While the acting in this was still good, as the episodes went on I felt the storyline was a bit flawed. While linking it back to previous seasons was cleverly constructed I am a fan of actors taking on new roles and every season bringing you something different which is what I would’ve liked to have seen this season as well. I don’t think this season brought us anything new that we haven’t seen before from AHS. However, after saying this, I do still appreciate everything that goes into making the series and will still continue to be an avid follower and look forward to watching season 9.
