I love the show and I love John Oliver. I appreciate the information he presents and I really appreciate the laughter. If we can't laugh at the complete hot mess of American life right now, we'll all just go crazy. Better to laugh, sigh and think about how to fix things. Oh, and I appreciate the way his humor overrides my "omg you shouldn't be laughing at that!" inhibitors constantly. Seriously...the Adam Driver fixation just kills me, I cannot figure out why but it makes me laugh helplessly. Thanks, John!

I enjoy this show very much. It's funny and, now and then, smart. I wish Netflix would buy the rights to continue it. I think it's got legs.

I love this show and Hasan Minhaj is the reason why. It's laugh-out-loud funny, informative and running all through every episode is a deep and obvious compassion for silly humans and the things we do to ourselves. At the same time, he has very little patience with mean-spirited or venal or corrupt humans although he still remains kind towards even them. But, he's a lot kinder to the ignorant than I tend to be personally so he's actually making me a better Buddhist by modeling what compassion ought to look like in daily life. Doesn't mean you can't laugh at what we all do to each other but underneath it all, we must recognize that we're all on this little petri dish of a planet together and sink or swim, it'll be done all together or maybe not at all.
