A Marvel of editing, color and performance. This epic film combines layered audio to tell multiple stories in mostly unique and exciting ways. But it takes unexpected liberties with Elvis' music, cooking it up with flashy sound effects as if it wasn't good enough for modern audiences ensuring there will be elements to quibble with for everyone. Still, the performers, seemingly down to individual audience members, are so committed and sincere and the storytelling so enthusiastic, it is mostly likable and worthy if a bit long.
