In The Practice of Groundedness, Brad Stulberg writes an engaging book that blends individual stories, scientific research, and ancient wisdom to outline a path towards a more grounded, and successful, life.
I typically don't go in for self-help books, since they tend to hammer home key points with anecdotal story after anecdotal story in a way that would be better served on a blog, but Brad's book doesn't linger longer than needed on any one point. Not only is his writing style informative, but it's enjoyable without boring the reader.
More down-to-earth, I found that this book really fit with the times. As someone dealing with burn out after almost two years of lockdown due to the pandemic, this book was like a breath of fresh air and has helped me to feel more grounded through the recommended practices. I couldn't recommend this book enough.
