Black Plague

I’ve never read a more “all over the place” book. The wording is over complicated and really does not provide anything interesting. The author references dozens of other authors per chapter and doesn’t provide any explanation as to who these people are. The ideas presented are very scattered and don’t really amount to anything substantial. Collins states in the introduction that the book will not simply review the works of others, but then does just that. He only critiques others and doesn’t add anything of use. When definitions are presented, the thoughts are incomplete and aimless rambling. I feel like I’m reading a book written by a madman with crippling adhd.
