Others may priorities visual acting and script but godzilla minus one is heavy on symbolism as godzilla is a symbol of power in the wrong hands. In my honest opinion the film deserves its awards. If don't prioritize symbolism then you would most likely think it is garbage due to scenes not making sense. Awesome movie, made me cry.
