Quite disappointing in this. I had such high hopes because the books are amazing. While the casting is interesting it does not always work. You can definitely tell this is made in American. And they DO NOT understand 19th century. No servants talked how they have portrayed it. The characters talk way too fast. It was more vulgar thn progressive. More money does not mean better show. Eloise was amazing, interesting and witty in the books but the character portrayed is so annoying. I don’t see why they brought in Marinas character. Or why Violets character was so different thn the books. Truly sad n disappointing.
