I'm sorry but I don't understand how so many people actually enjoyed this movie. I first want to say that this is not a critique on the cast or their talent as actors. The acting was fine, however, the plot and storyline was completely trash. I understand that the main message of the movie revolves around humanity's cruelty and the drastic inequality of classes; which is a completely valid message. Unfortunately, from the start, the main goal of the protagonist is to better the lives of those in the tail, yet it ends with him killing everyone on the train but two people! Essentially he just killed off the tail along with the last trace of humanity, because all that's left is the young boy and girl who have absolutely no resources to survive off of in the desolate world around them that is quite literally frozen! There was so much of an attempted build up just to give an ending that felt utterly rushed and not thought through. Also, the writers never cared to explain how the little girl could accurately predict what would happen, they simply just gave a band-aid of an explanation in the beginning where the protagonist asks her "are you clairvoyant?" and then just moved on. Also again, I cannot emphasize enough how horrible the ending is! The entire time he's working to better the lives of his peers, the whole plot is centered around this, and then it ends with him killing everyone on the train! Which is what's left of humanity! But were supposed to be happy because two children survived and are happy to see a polar bear, even though they're certainly going to die in the frozen world they are subject to. I'm just sorry because I understand that my views on this movie may be unpopular, but this was the worst movie I have ever seen.
