Be surprised (although the set and plot is all food), the writers use food as an allegory; you could have used other passionate professional pursuits. There is a lot to unpack: many easter eggs, ranging from historical, as well as current, writings, readings, lessons, mythology, Dante, ethics, values, morals, duty, responsibility (good and bad), intellect, simplicity, success, failure, lost, found, guilty and innocent, naievete and ignorance...justification, excuses, ownership, truth, lies...all of the above definitions and/or words that are different for every one of us; and remedy, or lack thereof, which is also different for each and own. Writing, acting, actors, setting, cinematography all great. A thinking piece. "CLAP" (This will only make sense if you watch the movie)

Gives you, in certain scenes and dialogs, concepts to ponder around knowledge and ignorance in technology, parenting, work/life/moral/value/teaching/learning balance, human connection, coming of age, virtual connection, development of both, responsibilities of both and where we lack and where we are strong in each, and extensions of both in the other. There are several dichotomies explored, quickly and to the point, that brings you back to the age old human condition question, what is or is not part of that condition, which now and forever will include a new reality, which is homosapien and technology pros and cons. Good writing, acting, actors, design, set, plot, filming, directing, action, suspense. Great for inspiring conversation within a family movie night for Junior High School age and older. Teens loved it and we had some interesting conversations around the above issues.
