Big fan of the series and had high hopes for this, sadly, way off the mark. Sloppy storyline without any heart really damaged the whole previous netflix adventure. The silly rap music and soundtrack during some gritty scraps cheapened the edge even further for me. Genuinly quite sad it didnt work as Iko and Lewis work so hard in delivering great fight scenes and taking frequent digs leaving them battered and bruised. As for the one dimensional additional characters, im still scratching my head as to why they were added but on reflection i see why. As for the fast n furious style 'family' ending. Really?? As mentioned before im genuinely sad about how this finally turned out 😔 Lewis Tan and Iko Uwais i love their work and fight ethic but if they go again with the Wu project, Go hard, go dark!
