This sci-fi drama series is really rather silly throughout. Saved ( just) by a very competent cast who did their best. I can’t see myself lasting 6 episodes.

This film is a really silly but fun two hours for a wet Sunday afternoon. The plot is quite bonkers, the script a colourful mix of woke messaging and quite the reverse, the action terrific. The overall result for me was complete bemusement.

There was so much good press about this film that I expected great entertainment. But alas for me it was a dull and surprisingly uninteresting watch. I kept waiting for some drama to move it to a faster pace but it just meandered about via a swamp of boring direction. Not enough drama is made of the discovery, there are some wasteful and super-unnecessary sub plots like a weirdly shallow marital-bust up and the only attempt at drama was a cave-in with a miraculous outcome and rush to put tarpaulins over the dig in a rain storm. That’s it!
