I saw this in theater when I was 6 and it was an experience I hardly remember as it was so long ago but when it came out to VHS I decided at 7 to try again and to be honest BEST MOVIE EVER. The characters are memorable and loveable The songs I'm still singingg them at 43 I now read Sherlock Holmes I got my kids the Basil of bakerstreet books And Geronimo stlton cause mice are cute not matter what clothes you put on them But this movie 10\10across the board

Good movie, funny, warm hearted. Do not falllow what other people say about this movie, Josh was not her blood brother he was a son from the exes previous marriage her dad liked that boy cause he had drive to be a lawyer with her dad being a litigator it was a learning experience for Josh, He said you divorce wives not children cause even though her dad divorced Josh's mom he was still Josh's step dad not biological dad. And No, the teachers got married not Josh and Cher Now on with my review we loved it in my family that's kind of what I like is coming of age stories and this one won my heart. It is about becoming a better person and growing up and maturity into adulthood the characters learn and grow as the movie progresses, especially Cher. I love the fact that unlike Regina George (in Mean Girls), Cher doesn't treat people like trash she has a bit of maturity to her and uses cute little qips to show disgust instead of being back handed about it. Tai was to serve really no purpose but to add to Cher's karma for making somebody change into something their not thus turning Tai into an attention seeking snot nosed brat that thinks she deserves every man she has her eyes set on making her very hard to like as a character good move 10 or of 10
