In an unexpected turn of events, I liked the mini series better than the book. It was far deeper when it came to the stories of the other characters, such as June. Her drastic actions are far better explained through the revelation of her longstanding trauma. Twig's scenes in Agnes Bluff and surrounds were heartbreaking. It really was a more complex story which that was fleshed out through its main characters.
