Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was a splendid movie, with a plot that keeps the viewer constantly intrigued about what's to come next. A simple yet engrossing story of the adventure of Captain Jack Sparrow when he joins the young Will Turner in rescuing the kidnapped daughter of the Governor and the love of his life, Elizabeth Swann from Captain Barbossa and the crew of the Black Pearl. Most of all, one has to applaud the spectacular acting by Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush and of course, the amazing Johnny Depp. His performance as Sparrow was extremely impressive. The movie is a fun watch, be it the CGI, the costumes, the background or the musical score. A must watch for ardent fantasy and action fans of all ages.

Was an excellent film, impressive acting by Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed. A simple storyline that was effectively portrayed. You have to appreciate the CGI, Venom and Riot were brilliant. Had a fun element to it. Overall a fantastic movie that established Venom as a successful anti-hero franchise. It greatly portrayed Venom's transition from a villain to an anti-hero as well as the friendship and bond between Brock and Venom

This movie is pretty good, but there are some minor flaws that I feel makes it deserve an 8 on 10. The CG is convincing, the characters are well played by their respective actors, and to be honest, the story was building up pretty well in the i initial stages. A strange ancient structure found beneath the frozen land of Antarctica. A team of scientists going to explore the structure that seemingly hasn't been touched since the start of civilisation. But unfortunately, the second half of the movie lacked any suspense or much action to keep the viewer glued to their seats. Nevertheless, it's a fun movie to watch once.
