I pretty much grew up with this movie, I probably watched an actual 1000 times when I was little. I think this movie still has a lot of charm and tests what you can do in an animated film. I have no idea how I wasn't scare by this movie as a three-year old, but I'm sure many kids were left with memories of this film from the stop motion looking animation to the dark themes and imagery, there were definitely some scarred childhoods. The humor is also very good, not every joke made me laugh but I still really love this movie. It gave me alot of nostalgic memories. I'm upset that it lost best animated feature to Happy Feet, this movie took some risks and they paid of.
