I am going to rate this low because I was appalled by the “usual” American teen behavior. No relationship development just the cute jock sleeping around. The actor is very handsome and has that sexy appeal that girls would go for. However, he really is a jerk. And the parents never caught him? The dad must have to get up early. Of course, the series has to glorify teen sex and drinking. The parents of all these boys never thought to have a talk with them about boundaries when a female becomes part of the family? I liked the series but it had major flaws in the story telling. Like the parents are having financial troubles but can afford the wedding with multiple yurts, a big tent, table cloths, chairs, etc… And the bride feels like she has to save money and wear her mother’s dress. Another thing is the “no snitch” rule. Terrible! The parents allow Jackie to date Alex while they are living in same house? There are too many typical American tropes instead of good writing. The writer gets lazy and the viewers are left with another series with teenagers drinking, having sex, bullying, and the cool kids running the school. The parents know that they are going to the beer bong party? The series is watchable but falls short of being good.

This drama takes its time with the story telling. You realize that everything can be tied up with bows & ribbons. As the story progressed, I thought a lot about the lives of idols and how much they sacrifice to attain their dream. Suzy did an amazing job with portraying the struggles of an idol. The FL relationship with the ML was portrayed with a sense of reality. They fell in love but realized there were too many obstacles. I think many of the viewers have seen toxic fans. Therefore, I felt that the FL had to make a tough decision. Idols are put on pedestals instead of letting them live normal lives. The ending was tough to comprehend but I did understand.

This show began strong with many comedic moments. The characters were strong. Towards the end, I couldn’t believe the stupidity of the cops. You would think that there would be cops patrolling the area. The death of the second male lead is heart breaking. I like that the audience was deceived by the Shaman. At the end, I’m glad it wrapped up with light comedic moments again. The one thing that bothered me was the female prisoner with dreadlocks in Ep 16. Seriously? Korean tv & movies need to stop depicting Koreans with dreadlocks. It’s culture appropriation and demeaning. You have a person with dreadlocks in prison, that is a terrible depiction.

Uncanny Counter Season 2 was better than the first. In the beginning, there was a tragic event. The group had to overcome some huge obstacles. The action scenes were tremendous. The graphics of the black pool and black spirits were outstanding. The acting was top-notch! Kang Ki Young was outstanding as a bad guy. The rest of the lead actors and assemble cast did such an amazing job. The series even made me cry! Can’t wait until Season 3?

I was intrigued by the story and liked the series until the ending. Don’t read any further if you have not watched the end. I thought Taejong should have died instead of the gardener switching places with him. The writers added story lines at the end to make sure the people who used the golden spoon were punished in some way. The person at the end kidnapping the baby but the was left open ended so we believe that Yeojin was punished for her crimes. President Hwang was in a wheel chair because of poisoning. A little too far fetched. In summary, I enjoyed the series just not the ending. Sunjae did a wonderful job of acting.
