honestly this game is amazing and doesn't deserve the hate most people are complaining solely for Joel dying or because they took to separate stories and merged them together but that game is meant to be about the duality of these two characters and blurring the line between good and bad no one in the game fights for no reason they re fighting because they have something to fight for and the two protagonists are fighting for the same thing they just don't know in many other highly rated media there is the same concepts why can't it be the same in a game it is not a bad story by any means not a perfect one it is heavily themed and has a strong message also people complain about the LGBTQ representation I am not a part of this community but I don't mind the representation it doesn't hurt the story Ellie being a lesbian could be explained by her being objectified by the men who captured her in the first game and who cares if the is a transgender bald kid and if you do care your a simply a closeted bigot if it ruined the whole game for you. I can not recommend this game enough especially if you love darker themes sand stories such as attack on titan or arcane it is a really great game with so much depth and emotional value that it is sad that people are even arguing if it is good or not
