A terrible soulless remake of the original Star Wars that feels like the cinematic equivalent of a McDonald's happy meal

The writing in this show is just terrible. Even for a property inspired by old flash gordon serials. This is a new low for star wars. This goes beyond being infantile. This is just plain stupidity and it's insulting that Disney released this to the public. It's like it was based off a first draft from someone who never seen star wars. The way this show destroys the continuity and lore of the franchise is ridiculous. I can't believe fans love this. But it doesn't matter because all the "fans" will consume it anyway without question. Star Wars and consumerism is their religion. This experience has shown me that Star Wars is no longer about story telling. It's a dynamic of blind consumerism and idolatry of our culture and society.
