This is probably the worst war film I've ever watched. Where to begin. If it was just for the historical inaccuracies I could could tried to enjoy it for cast, plot and ambiance. However it was awful in all these aspects too. No man's land made up of green and pleasant pastures. Frontline trenches made of glittering chalk. Devoid of heavy artillery barrage. Just a ridiculous story line. Stabs german, falls into some Rapids that would make New Zealand proud. Stumbles out. Stops men going over the top. Runs around no mans land without being machine gunned and meets his dead mates brother in time for tea. Absolute drivel.
