I do not understand why this movie is not doing better. I don't think people understand who this movie is catered to. This is a horror movie, top to bottom. It's not a fun, feel good, laugh out loud, popcorn horror movie, either. It is very dark with some seriously heavy (and sometimes sexual) undertones. It is legitimately scary and has one of the most upsetting eye gore scenes I've seen in a film. This is not your standard super villain movie. Sure, it comments on how self-centered people are to assume that an alien god (like Superman) would be a blessing to humanity - but horror fans should go see this for what it is...a horror movie. This is not your DC universe. The movie is not here to spark a deep conversation of 'what if's. It's here to scare you.
