Martyr! is a beautiful first novel. I read the last chapter tonight and I was so sad that it was over. Kaveh Akbar's poetic voice is so strong, the characters so rich and the unfolding of the complicated lives involved...I loved the characters and the story very much. Such a creative premise. Thank you for this book about love. I will look forward to your next novel! Kudos!
