It’s a tragic and compelling story that deserves a good telling but this certainly isn’t it! It drags on endlessly with a cast that seems to be sleepwalking through the scenes. Is DiCaprio’s character stupid, evil, confused, willfully oblivious- who knows? Molly starts off seemingly savvy but then clueless. Is this ambiguity intentional or just a sloppy mess? Again, this is a story that deserves to be told well but this movie is an utter failure.
