Exquisite! In equal measures I wanted to get to the end but didn’t want it to end. It was sad, thought provoking, emotional and inspiring. For anyone who’s been separated from a loved family member, read this. How she links the emotions to music is clever and something different in a novel. For pianists of all abilities this is a joy to read. The playlist from the novel is lovely, I’ve just ordered the music for Nocturne No.2 by Chopin to attempt on my old out of tune piano. Louise Brooks has given me the encouragement to have a go!
