This sucks- where to start… The setting is… OK, it’s vibrant and looks nice but has an odd feeling of disconnection, like it’s all been designed by different people with no coherent brief who have never read the books. The characters are where this falls apart badly, if you’ve not read the books you’ll be fine, if you’re looking for a faithful adaptation of the books then look elsewhere. Characters are barely recognisable, gender swapped for no reason other than woke box-ticking, the actors try their best but it’s not great. The story is a confused jumble of TP’s watch stories cobbled together by a writing team who don’t seem to have read the books however googled the synopsis and went from there. It makes me glad TP died before he could see his creation savaged like this.
