I have recently watched the live version of the little mermaid. From all the Disney movies as a child back in the 90s and still to this day the original little mermaid is still my all time favorite movie. I will say I was very disappointed in the new live version. Ariel was wrongly picked due to the color of her hair. It need to be more red. Her voice was also very pitchy in the end of “part of your world”. I wouldn’t have change/added her to the “under the sea” song. I most certainly didn’t like how you changed after Ariel got her legs and she was caught by a net. I think you should have stayed right to the original version on those scenes with Prince Eric with him finding her in the beach with Max and then the dinner. I was really looking forward to seeing the chef and Sebastian in the kitchen and was upset and mad how you took out the “Les Poissons” song. I also didn’t like how you didn’t have the correct scuttle and how he went into the ocean to talk about the “ thingamajigor”, that should have been outside the ocean. But on a positive note you matched Ursula and King Triton’s part right down to the exact. I would give this movie a rating of a 1 star. I was really hoping for a similar movie to the original.
