Although this show has a lot of fans it is still highly underrated. Probably one of the best sci fi tv shows and really just a great show altogether. From the casting, to the plot, to the twists and turns, the 121 episodes doesn’t even seem like enough. Great job to the people who worked on this show, and to the cast as I’m sure this was a physically challenging show to do for 6 seasons. I have to say though Lost has some flaws but my only real quarrel with Lost was the main black characters that seemed to be poorly written. Michael was an insufferable whining man child, and I couldn’t understand Rose’s constant attitude & anger. These two constantly left me annoyed and confused about what the writers were thinking. Also Walt’s talents/powers were never explained and seemed to just be written out even though they seemed to play a big part in the earlier seasons and touched on again later on. But overall still a great piece of work that I would watch over and over again. Btw I’m glad I was able to binge this on Netflix instead of watching it back when it first aired because waiting week to week, season to season, would’ve been torturous lol.

Some spoilers. Firstly I loved seeing Joseph & Lupita; both great actors who embodied their characters. Some others mentioned not understanding their connection and I think they were both just vulnerable. The cat was the initial link between them but it was clear Joseph’s character was suffering from some sort of anxiety disorder and just felt he could not survive on his own. Lupita’s character senses this and allows him to tag along with her and he ends up being the help she needed. There was also a sense of loneliness from him when he mentions being there for law school and his parents being in England. As if he made no real connections while being there which was kind of sad. Lupita’s character wanting to get pizza was initially annoying, but then you realize this is a woman who knew before the aliens landed that she was dying, so she had already been set on reliving a fond memory before she passes and wasn’t letting anything stop her. She wasn’t afraid to die but rather afraid of not being able to feel that experience one more time before she dies. It was actually pretty brave. Was not a fan of the ending too much though; would have preferred her going more peacefully. OK all that aside, it would have been nice to have known just a little bit more about the aliens landing on earth. We know there’s enough technology to see when something has entered our atmosphere or better yet, is heading towards earth. So it would have been good to see what was being done when the world governments saw what was coming. The more I see the movies in this franchise the more I think these are the most insidious aliens I’ve seen in a movie. However I’m beginning to think that the writers of these films want more of a focus on the people and character development, and less of the aliens themselves.

Such a touching movie. Kids obviously need to feel safe, but also so do adults and that seemed to be the overall message to me. Not sure I ever believed in imaginary friends but I think this movie allowed me to understand the concept of it…oh yeah and my son liked it too😂😂 Keith ranking among is top favorite IF’s😂

I think the problem I have with this film is that the passion between Anne and Frederick was not believable until the very end with the letter. The spark between the two actors just wasn’t there.
